Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy is part of our Terms & Conditions and applies to all paid subscriptions on paceghost.io.

1. Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time, without logging in, via our statutory cancellation page — enter your account email and we send a confirmation link; no dashboard login is required. You may also cancel:

• From the account settings page within the app (once logged in), or
• Via the Stripe Customer Portal (where enabled), or
• By contacting us at info@paceghost.io

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to all paid features and your remaining credits until the billing period ends.

2. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from your subscription purchase under Article 9 of Directive 2011/83/EU (in Germany: § 312g, § 355 BGB).

To exercise this right, contact us at info@paceghost.io within 14 days of your purchase, stating your account email and the date of purchase, or use the model withdrawal form below.

Early Expiry of the Withdrawal Right: Your right of withdrawal expires before the end of the 14-day period only where the statutory conditions are met (Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU; in Germany: § 356 (5) and (6) BGB) — in particular, only if you have expressly consented to the immediate performance of the digital service and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. If you withdraw after having requested immediate performance, you owe at most a proportionate amount for the service provided up to the withdrawal (Article 14(3) of Directive 2011/83/EU). Independently of the above, if you have not run any scans, analyses, or benchmarks, we will grant a full refund on request within 14 days of purchase.

3. Refunds After the Withdrawal Period

After the 14-day withdrawal period, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis:

• Service Outage: If you experienced a significant service disruption, contact us and we will review your case individually. Service credits may be offered at our discretion.
• Other Cases: We review all refund requests individually. Contact info@paceghost.io with your circumstances.

4. Credit Policy

• Credits are non-refundable: Credits have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for money.
• Rollover: Unused credits roll over subject to caps (3× monthly allotment for monthly plans, 12× for yearly plans). See our Terms & Conditions §7.3 for details.
• Credits on Cancellation: Upon cancellation, remaining credits are retained in your account and do not expire — they can be used again once you re-subscribe. Access to features exclusive to paid tiers requires an active subscription.
• Free Tier Credits: Free tier credits do not roll over and reset each cycle.

5. Founders Tier

The Founders tier is a limited-availability subscription with a fixed number of slots and a discounted monthly price. Founders slots do not reopen once vacated — cancelling your Founders subscription is permanent. If you cancel, you will not be able to re-subscribe at the Founders price. This applies to voluntary cancellation and does not restrict your statutory right of withdrawal (Section 2 above); validly withdrawing within the withdrawal period unwinds the purchase and is not treated as such a forfeiting cancellation.

6. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us at info@paceghost.io before initiating a chargeback with your bank or Stripe. We are committed to resolving billing issues promptly and fairly.
